Taverna La Fenice
Taverna La Fenice was founded and developed in close symbiosis with the “La Fenice” Theatre.
The tavern is in fact located next to the theatre entrance once used by the artists. Since the founding of the theatre, Taverna La Fenice has served as a meeting place and an always-open dining venue, ideal for a relaxed dinner or an aperitif accompanied by the background of operatic singing.
In 1860, the venue officially became a restaurant, although it was especially renowned for its bar area, open until late at night. In 2012, management passed to us, marking the beginning of a new chapter for this historic institution. We reshaped its character and set it on a path of continuous evolution, while never altering its true essence.
Today, Taverna La Fenice represents an appealing and refined alternative, where guests can enjoy traditional and wholesome recipes or simply savor a good glass of red wine.

The Theatre
With its two centuries of history, La Fenice stands as one of the most significant landmarks around which much of the city’s life has revolved.
Regarded since its foundation as Venice’s foremost theatre, La Fenice has maintained a leading role not only in the city’s “modern” architectural development, but also in the history of taste and fashion that shaped the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century.
The Grand Theatre relies on our catering service for receptions and gala dinners.
